Belinda Cook is an Australian pianist and examiner located in Blackburn South, Victoria. Qualified for piano and theory tuition for AMEB and ANZCA examinations and for preparation for VCE Music, Belinda teaches all levels from complete beginner to advanced, exam preparation or music purely for pleasure.
Lessons are held on a weekly basis at the studio in Blackburn South, catering for students in nearby suburbs including Box Hill, Surrey Hills, Mont Albert, Balwyn, Camberwell and Canterbury.
Belinda endeavours to provide an enjoyable programme of music tuition and appreciation suited to the needs and interests of each student. Lessons are conducted on a concert-standard grand piano in classical, contemporary and jazz.
The VCE years can be very demanding. Many students benefit from the additional support of a private tutor for all components of the curriculum: performance, music analysis and aural training.
Belinda has extensive experience tutoring VCE students towards achieving their goals, having taught students from private schools such as Xavier College, Balwyn High School, Siena, PLC and Genazzano. Many of these students have then successfully gone on to study music at university.
Music theory, aural skills and music history are taught within the piano tuition programme. More advanced theory tuition is also available, catering to the individual student’s needs.
